Is it necessary to use a mask when exercising?


According to the WHO reference in 2020, when exercising, there is no need to wear a mask because it can interfere with breathing comfortably.


Sweat that comes out during exercise can wet the mask and can cause breathing difficulties and pose a risk of microorganisms on the wet mask.


Things to note is to keep a distance of at least 1-2 meters from the people around and always apply hand hygiene before cleaning the body, especially when going to wash your face.


If exercising outside the home is not possible because the exercise area is too crowded, exercise at home can be done. For example, by following various guidelines on Youtube or even by doing online exercises with friends and coaches.
